Mrs. Gomez is a native of Colombia, South America. She has been a teacher for 10 years in a variety of school districts in both North Carolina and Florida. Her passion for teaching shows through her activities and teaching style.
She was Teacher of the Year at Sandy Ridge Visual and Performance Arts Elementary School, Teacher of the year at George Marks Elementary School and received the Marble Apple Award at Farmington Woods Elementary. Her dedication to education and cultural awareness does not compare and she is beloved by all of her students and faculty. Her annual Festival of Flowers is internationally known. She brings culture to her students by allowing them to participate hands on in recreating and executing this amazing festival. This is an event that the kids look forward to participating in every year. Mrs. Gomez teaches her students "Do not forget that you are the future of our world."
